Godre'r Foel, Nercwys - £475,000
Another new build for BD Construction, General Builders in Ruthin. The project at Godre'r Foel, Nercwys commenced in July 2007 in conjunction with Life In Architecture (www.lifeinarchitecture.com).
The project incorporates a steel frame built off standard, stepped, strip foundations with a traditional block cavity wall construction and modern K-Rend finish. The client desired a unique build which, in conjunction with BD Construction, was delivered.
The project includes new technology: Ground Source Heating, specialist electrics and state of the art fixtures and fittings. No expense has been spared when it comes to finishes, oak and Burlington Slate form the main floor finishes.
As a result of their performance BD Construction, Developers in Wales, has secured further business through the client's employer on the Wirral.
Maerdy Mill, Water Wheel £25,000
BD Construction completed the enabling works for this high profile and prestigious project which included: excavation of the river bed to facilitate installation, construction of retaining block wall and plinth, construction and casting of generator base and forming spindle opening. Site clearance and re-instatement upon completion.
As a result of the performance on this project the client instructed BD Construction to carry out additional works on the building which included the replacement of timber windows.

Nant Uchaf Farm, Rhydymeudwy £275,000
BD Construction, General Builders in Ruthin, completed this fantasic refurbishment and extension to an existing farm building very recently.
The property benefits from the latest technology which includes underfloor heating and a bore hole to provide drinking and general domestic water supplies to the property. Included was the installation of an underground storage tank and water filtration system.
This project, completed in conjunction with John Pugh Architect, led to additional external works from the client and repeat business from the Architect.
